STORY

I’m from the Kingdom of Bohemia. I’m the queen of anything and everything. I have travelled far to become what I am and I’m proud of having a history of great efforts and progress on my march to the future. I always knew I could reach this far and this is what made me continue and never give up.


Through history I was looked upon as unconventional, dirty, unorganized and unhealthy. Did you know that “bohemian” really means “socially unconventional”? Traditionally this was a concept that referred to a special way of living among certain cultures. We were applied a different scale of value than the bourgeois society, particularly the artists and intellectual people. Of course, it was them who created the scale from the beginning so no wonder they would make a difference between them and us and put themselves on the pedestal on the highest top of the pyramid called society. I was worthless. I felt worthless. I was called worthless. My life was worthless.


I lived as I could. Tried to make the day through. Of course I didn’t have any money so some days I didn’t even eat. If I was lucky I found some leftovers outside a restaurant. Me and the dogs fought for it. Sometimes I won, if they were many they won and I walked away with a few scratches.


Today I look back with pride and glory. The way here has been long and it hasn’t been easy but I made it. Today I’m seen upon as someone who knows, someone intellectual, someone artistic, someone interested in cultural expressions and different ways of living. The fact of being that someone is greater that anyone can ever imagine. Today I’m fashionable, I’m great, I’m proud and I’m glorious.
